Ediciones Minotauro Breaks Its Silence: Warhammer Returns to Spanish Bookstores This November
Over the past few months, many Spanish Warhammer novel fans have shared the same feeling: something seemed to have stopped. While Black Library kept publishing titles in English on a regular schedule, the pace of Spanish editions slowed noticeably, raising doubts about the future of the licence in Spain.
The perception was not unfounded. After the early 2026 releases, there were barely any announcements related to new translations, which fuelled plenty of conversation within the community. Although Minotauro never confirmed an official pause, the prolonged silence led many readers to wonder when the next novel would arrive.
November brings hope back
Now there is an answer.
Ediciones Minotauro has confirmed the arrival of two new Warhammer novels for November 2026, bringing both Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000 back into its catalogue.
The choice is also significant, as it backs two of Black Library’s most popular lines: the adventures of Gotrek Gurnisson and the final stretch of The Siege of Terra.

Gotrek faces a classic enemy once again
The first release will be Verminslayer, written by David Guymer.
The novel takes the legendary Dwarf Slayer to Greywater Fastness, one of the most industrial cities in Ghyran. What begins as a personal quest to discover why his Slayer rune is losing power turns into a war against a vast Skaven plot hidden beneath the city.
For many readers, it also represents one of the most anticipated confrontations of this Age of Sigmar era: Gotrek crosses paths with the ratmen again, enemies inseparable from his story since the days of the Old World.
The book promises sewer chases, runaway Skaven machinery, and plenty of up-close combat.
The Siege of Terra continues in Spanish
The second addition will be Echoes of Eternity, the seventh volume of The Siege of Terra, written by Aaron Dembski-Bowden.
We are already in the decisive stretch of the entire Horus Heresy.
The walls of the Imperial Palace have fallen, the defenders can barely hold together, and Horus’s forces advance without rest. While Angron leads the daemonic offensive, Rogal Dorn struggles to contain the disaster, Jaghatai Khan stands on the brink of death, and Guilliman remains too far away to change the course of the war.
All eyes turn to Sanguinius, who prepares to take part in one of the saga’s most remembered moments in a desperate defence before the final reckoning.

A silence that worried the community
Although Minotauro continued distributing some titles during the first months of the year, the pace of announcements was far lower than usual.
The same questions kept coming up across forums and fan communities: whether the publisher had slowed down translations, whether it would keep backing Black Library, or when major new novels would arrive.
Those conversations reflected genuine concern, especially among readers following long-running series such as the Horus Heresy or waiting for new translations from very popular authors like Chris Wraight, Mike Brooks, or Aaron Dembski-Bowden.
That is why this announcement carries more weight than two books alone might suggest.
After months without news, Warhammer fans finally have reason to look at the calendar with excitement again.
A small step… but in the right direction
It is true that two novels do not make up for the huge Black Library catalogue that still remains unpublished in Spanish.
They also do not address some of the community’s usual requests, such as more omnibus editions, reprints of out-of-print classics, or faster turnaround compared with the original releases.
However, they do represent something important: the licence remains active and Minotauro continues to expand the official Warhammer catalogue in Spanish.
Our take
It was understandable that part of the community grew restless after so many months without relevant announcements. When a saga this long depends on steady continuity, any prolonged pause creates uncertainty.
These two novels are good news, especially because they cover two very different audiences: those who enjoy Age of Sigmar with Gotrek, and those who have been following the Horus Heresy for years. The question now is whether November marks simply a one-off return or the start of a more stable publishing schedule.
If Minotauro manages to recover a steadier pace during 2027, many of the doubts accumulated over these months will probably disappear on their own. In the meantime, at least we know that Spanish bookshelves will once again receive new stories from the Warhammer universe.
